Experimentation, development and testing.

The series of paved tracks, from the mixed course to the High Speed Straight which is 2 kilometres long, supplemented by the large service areas and the off-road Campo, make the Vairano Centre an ideal test facility for the automotive sector.

Thanks to its position Vairano is easy to reach: it is 15 km from Milan’s Tangenziale Ovest, 25 km from the Milano-Rogoredo railway station, 30 km from Linate airport and approximately 70 km from Malpensa airport.

The Centre offers a wide range of solutions, from the rental of tracks to turnkey testing services.

This is also possible thanks to specific instrumentation (telemetry for vehicle performance and dynamics, fuel consumption, noise levels, comfort) and qualified staff (engineers and testers) to carry out tests on vehicles regarding:

  • performance
  • dynamics
  • fuel consumption
  • comfort
  • development of components (braking systems, safety systems, tyres, etc.)
  • special equipment installed on vehicles

The Centre’s technological infrastructure was recently improved further with equipment designed for the field testing and the assessment of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), from automatic braking to pedestrian detection, to lane-keeping.

Vairano also houses the Test Centre for the magazines Quattroruote and Dueruote and the Laboratory of the CSIA (an independent self-repair research centre), dedicated to technical analyses and specific tests for the self-repair sector.
