ASC (Automotive Safety Centre) was created in 1995 to enable Quattroruote to have its own facility for conducting road tests on cars, that are then published in the magazine. Over the years, the facility has evolved into one of the most important specialist automotive centres in Europe. It now features new tracks and off-road courses, as well as a modern conference centre, all of which respect the architectural style of the existing buildings and the landscape of the Lombard countryside.

Some of the activities carried out in Vairano (PV), (like vehicle testing, driving courses for cars, off-road and commercial vehicles) fit into the tradition of ASC and Quattroruote; while others (like tests on the effectiveness of ADAS, driver-assistance systems), look to the evolution of cars and anticipate future changes.

To this, we must add the organisation of events in Vairano, as well as other locations, and key partnership with the University of Pavia for its Automotive Masters.
